BOTH SIDES NOW: A Tribute to Joni Mitchell is a concert dedicated to showcasing some of Joni’s greatest
compositions, especially from her first decade of recordings. The evening will be led by Cathy DeWitt (vocals and piano) and Richard Bassil (bass), and it features some of Gainesville’s finest performers, including Janet Rucker on guitar, piano and vocals; Maggie Rucker and Samara on vocals; David Beede on dulcimer; Michael Derry on guitar; Brad Bangstad on piano; and Rob Rothschild on drums.
This concert will be a reprise of the standing-room-only show earlier in the year at the Thomas Center – but with a few surprises!
In the tradition of Joni’s eclectic compositional style, the band will be presenting a mixture of her
most iconic and somewhat lesser-known songs, including Both Sides Now, Chelsea Morning, River, Twisted,
and You Turn Me On I’m a Radio.
